Itinerary

  • The journey begins with a departure from Miami toward the impressive city of Istanbul.
  • Travelers are recommended to arrive at the airport at least 4 hours before the flight departure.
  • Upon arrival, an assistant will welcome you for your transfer to the hotel.
  • The evening is free to enjoy the golden lights reflecting off the Bosphorus and the city’s historic mosques.
  • Visit the Suleymaniye the Magnificent Mosque, built by the architect Sinan.
  • The tour continues with the historic sites of Hagia Sophia (exterior view) and the Topkapi Palace, the former residence of Ottoman sultans.
  • After a typical lunch in Sultanahmet, visit the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome (featuring the Obelisk of Theodosius, the Serpentine Column, the German Fountain, and the Egyptian Obelisk), and end the afternoon with free time at the Grand Bazaar and its 4,000 shops.
  • Start with a Bosphorus Boat Tour to see sultan palaces and traditional wooden houses.
  • Visit the 5-century-old Spice Bazaar.
  • Optional: Afternoon tour of the Asian side ($85 USD per person), including Beylerbeyi Palace, the Bosphorus suspension bridge, the Üsküdar district, and Camlica Hill for panoramic views.
  • Drive toward Ankara via the Bolu mountains.
  • Visit the Anitkabir Mausoleum, the final resting place of the Republic’s founder.
  • En route to Cappadocia, see the Salt Lake and a 13th-century Caravanserai.

  • Early departure for Pamukkale.

  • Travel to Ephesus, an ancient Greco-Roman capital, to see the Temple of Hadrian, the Library of Celsus, and the theater.
  • Visit the House of the Virgin Mary and a local leather gallery.
  • End the day in Kusadasi (or Izmir).

  • Depart for Bursa, the first Ottoman capital.
  • Visit the Ulucamii Mosque, the Kozahan Silk Bazaar, and the Green Mausoleum.
  • Return to Istanbul for the final night.
  • At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
