We recommend visiting the Royal Palace where you can appreciate its architecture and historical wealth, stroll through Retiro Park to enjoy its natural and cultural beauty, and end the day tasting tapas in the lively Plaza Mayor to experience local cuisine.
We will leave at the beginning of the morning. We cross Castilla y León. Stop in TORDESILLAS. You will learn the history of this small town and you can have a coffee in its Plaza Mayor. Continuation to LEÓN, time to have lunch and see the fantastic Gothic cathedral of this historic city on the Camino de Santiago. Later we crossed the mountains of the Cantabrian Mountains traveling towards Asturias. Arrival in OVIEDO in the middle of the afternoon. We include (sometimes in the morning of the next day) a one and a half hour visit with a local guide of the city. We travel to the Picos de Europa. Among beautiful landscapes we know the Basilica of Covadonga. We continue the route following the sea towards SANTILLANA, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain with its intact medieval town. In its vicinity we know the LAS CUEVAS DE ALTAMIRA Museum, (entrance included). Later we traveled to SANTANDER, the regional capital, a maritime city with impressive views between mountains and beaches. We include a panoramic tour with a local guide in which we can discover this elegant coastal city and its beautiful bay.

We follow the highway along the Cantabrian coast. Some of the landscapes between the mountains and the sea are of great beauty. BILBAO, arrival to the largest city in the Basque Country. With a local guide, we make a short visit of the city: Guggenheim area, old town, cathedral… then you will have free time to have some «pintxos» in the «Old Town». We later traveled to the region of LA RIOJA, a land that produces excellent wines. We visit the Wine Culture Museum, in Briones and we will learn about the importance of viticulture since time immemorial. ZARAGOZA, arrival at the end of the afternoon.
In the morning we include a panoramic visit in ZARAGOZA with a local guide; During the visit we visit the Basilica del Pilar, the Cathedral; We will talk about the painter Goya, learning about some of his works, we will also see a Roman theater, a Renaissance palace and we will pass in front of the Arab palace of Aljafería.
After lunch time we continue towards Catalonia. Stop at the Poblet Monastery, surrounded by its walls, in a beautiful setting, one of the best preserved medieval monasteries in the world (entrance included). Continuation to BARCELONA, arrival at the end of the afternoon.
In the morning we include a panoramic tour of the city of Barcelona, considered one of the most interesting European capitals, open to the Mediterranean Sea, famous for Gaudí and its modernist architecture without forgetting its ramblas and the memories of the Universal Exhibitions and Olympics that took place there. they took place. In the evening we include a transfer to the Maremágnum, an avant-garde leisure center and restaurants facing the sea, next to Plaza Colón, where you can stroll through this lively area and dine.
We travel south following the Mediterranean. A stop in PEÑISCOLA, a small medieval walled city surrounded by beautiful beaches. Time for a walk. We continue to VALENCIA, a port city on the Levantine coast where we will arrive at lunch time. Will you try their paella? Around 4:30 p.m. we leave and after making a brief stop in the avant-garde City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia, we will continue towards MADRID. Expected arrival around 8:30 p.m. / 9:00 p.m.
