Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Munich

Welcome to Munich. Transfer to the hotel and free time. You will receive information for the start of your tour.

Around 4:00 PM, after lunch, we visit the impressive BMW WELT complex, a state-of-the-art multifunctional exhibition facility of the prestigious German automobile brand BMW. We will also see the park where the architecturally stunning Olympiastadium is located, which hosted the famous 1972 Olympic Games. After that, free time in the historic center where you can enjoy the typical beer halls.

Note: During the Oktoberfest period, the hotel may be located in the vicinity of Munich.


Day 2: Munich · Fussen · Rothenburg · Frankfurt

Total distance traveled: 575 km. Landscapes: Very beautiful scenery: Mountains, lakes, picturesque villages.

  • 07:30 AM Munich: Departure
  • 09:30 AM Fussen · Arrival: In this Bavarian town, surrounded by mountains, we find the Neuschwanstein Castle. With our guide, we will walk to Mary’s Bridge to enjoy the fantastic landscapes between cliffs. You can return to the bus by horse-drawn carriage (not included).
  • 11:30 AM Fussen · Departure: We travel towards the Rhine Valley. Stop at a highway service area for lunch.
  • 03:15 PM Rothenburg · Arrival: Considered by many the most beautiful town in Germany, located on the Romantic Road. Its walls and its wonderfully preserved medieval old town. We include entry to the CHRISTMAS MUSEUM. Free time for a stroll.
  • 04:45 PM Rothenburg: Departure
  • 07:15 PM Frankfurt – Arrival. Before settling into the hotel, our guide will give you some free time at Römer Platz, in the city center.

Day 3: Frankfurt · Cruise · Cochem · Cologne · Dortmund

  • Total distance traveled: 369 km. Landscapes: Very beautiful scenery following the Rhine and Moselle Valleys; the route is dotted with stunning villages.
  • 08:00 AM – Frankfurt – Departure. Today, we explore the Rhine Valley and the Moselle Valley—two rivers rich in history, lined with charming villages.
  • 09:00 AM – Rüdesheim am Rhein. – We meet the Rhine in this picturesque medieval town full of tourist and commercial life. After some free time to stroll, we board a Rhine Cruise lasting approximately two hours. We are in the most beautiful section of the river: castles, medieval villages, old churches, vineyards on the hillside slopes. Arrival in St. Goar and continuation along small roads towards the Moselle Valley.
  • 12:15 PM – Cochem. Arrival and time for lunch. This is one of the most beautiful villages in the valley, dominated by its imposing castle whose origins date back over a thousand years.
  • 03:00 PM – Cochem – Departure. We continue following the Rhine.
  • 04:45 PM – Cologne – Arrival. Free time to visit its impressive Gothic cathedral, which, at 154 meters high, was the tallest building in the world until the late 19th century. You can also stroll along the Rhine River and through the lively city center.
  • 07:00 PM – Cologne. Departure towards our hotel.
  • 08:15 PM – Dortmund. Arrival and accommodation.

Day 4: Dortmund · Fairy Tale Route · Hannover

  • Distance covered: 290 km
  • Today we will experience a magical stage, reminiscing about many of the fairy tales and movies from our childhood as we visit some of the towns that inspired the Brothers Grimm and make up what is now called the Fairy Tale Route.
  • 08:00 hrs. Dortmund, departure.
  • 10:15 hrs. Trendelburg – arrival in this picturesque walled village dominated by its grand medieval castle. We visit the castle with its Rapunzel’s Tower (entrance included), from where the princess’s long blonde braid still hangs.
  • 11:15 hrs. Trendelburg, departure. We continue along small roads, passing through forests as we imagine Hansel and Gretel.
  • 12:00 hrs. Höxter. Arrival and free time for lunch in this lively little town, home to the Corvey Abbey, a former 9th-century monastery and UNESCO World Heritage Site (external stop to photograph its walls and inner courtyards).
  • 14:30 hrs. Höxter, departure. We continue our route with a brief stop in Polle to take exterior photos of the ruins of Cinderella’s castle.
  • 15:45 hrs. Hamelin. We arrive in the city made famous by the tale of The Pied Piper of Hamelin. We will enjoy recalling the Brothers Grimm story while following the traces of the mice. Free time to explore.
  • 17:30 hrs. Hamelin, departure.
  • 18:30 hrs. Hannover. Arrival. A stroll through the city center before heading to our hotel.

Note: On certain dates, accommodation may be provided in Cologne or another nearby city. In this case, departure from Cologne on Thursday will be at 07:30 hrs.


Day 5: Hannover · Goslar · Quedlinburg · Berlin

Total distance covered: 370 km.
Scenery: Pleasant landscapes in Saxony, the Harz Mountains, medieval villages.

  • 08:00 hrs. Hannover, departure.
  • 09:30 hrs. Goslar: Arrival in one of the most beautiful towns in Germany, with its historic houses and market square. Free time to explore.
  • 11:15 hrs. Goslar, departure. We continue our journey through one of the most beautiful regions of Germany.
  • 12:00 hrs. Quedlinburg – Arrival. UNESCO has declared this city a World Heritage Site due to its fascinating historic center, which has survived nearly intact for centuries with over 2,100 half-timbered houses. The town hall and castle-collegiate church are also highlights.
  • Free time to explore and have lunch.
  • Lunch included for passengers on a half-board plan.
  • 14:15 hrs. Quedlinburg, departure: We travel towards the capital of Germany.
  • 17:00 hrs. Berlin – Arrival: Free time (or sightseeing upon arrival, depending on the time of year).

Day 6: Berlin.

  • Around 08:00 hrs (please check the schedules on the hotel reception boards).
  • We begin a panoramic tour with a local guide lasting approximately two and a half hours. From the coach, we will see Museum Island, the TV Tower, the city’s main shopping streets, the old cathedral destroyed during World War II, the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, and the city’s large parks. We will stop to visit the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial-Museum, two striking sites that remind us of Germany’s difficult history in the past century. Free afternoon. Optionally, you may visit Potsdam with the Sanssouci Palace gardens and Cecilienhof Palace.

Note: On some occasions, the panoramic tour may take place the previous day.


Day 7: Closing

After breakfast, our services will conclude, with the hope of having provided an unforgettable experience.

Note: Please remember that hotel check-out is usually at 10:00 AM. In most cases, you can leave your luggage at the hotel reception at check-out time so you can enjoy the city and pick it up later that same day at your convenience. If you need more time in the room, consider booking an additional night at the end of your tour.
