Welcome to France! Upon arrival at Paris airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will receive information about the start of your tour through the informative signs located at the hotel reception. Accommodation in Paris.
Breakfast at the hotel. We include a transfer to the Palace of Versailles. You can stroll through its beautiful gardens or visit its interior if you wish (entrance not included). After that, we will head to the bohemian district of Montmartre, with its open-air artists and small restaurants. Free time for lunch and then a panoramic tour of Paris with a local guide. Return to the hotel. Optionally, you may attend a variety show. Accommodation in Paris.
Breakfast at the hotel. Rest of the day free to continue exploring the charming and romantic French capital. Today, you may optionally take a boat ride on the Seine River and visit the Latin Quarter. Accommodation in Paris.
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we travel to the center of France, the Burgundy region, known for its pleasant landscapes dominated by vineyards producing some of the world’s finest wines. We visit Beaune, in the heart of the wine region, with its flower-filled streets, hospice, and wine museum. Free time for lunch and sightseeing. Arrival in Lyon in the mid-afternoon; the capital of Roman Gaul, located on the banks of the Rhône River, with a historic center declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We include a funicular ride to Notre Dame de Fourvière, an exciting place with impressive views of the city. Free time and accommodation in Lyon.
NOTE: Occasionally, accommodation may be in Chambéry, a city near Lyon. In these cases, we will leave for Chambéry in the late afternoon for overnight stay. In the morning, there will be free time to explore the capital of Savoy, a medieval-style city with a beautiful historic center and a large castle.
Breakfast at the hotel. A beautiful journey awaits. We travel to Switzerland. Geneva, free time to stroll in this Swiss city on the shores of its lake. Our bus will pass by the Palais des Nations (United Nations headquarters in Europe) and arrive at the lovely English Garden with its flower clock and the famous “Jet d’Eau,” the highest fountain in Europe. We then continue towards the highest peaks of Europe: the Alps. A long tunnel under Mont Blanc takes us to Italy. Enjoy stunning landscapes following the Aosta Valley. Arrival in Milan in the mid-afternoon, with time to visit its cathedral and take a walk through its historic center. Accommodation in Milan or its surroundings.
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we leave Milan, following the fertile plains of the Po River. Arrival in Venice at midday (around 1 PM). Boat transfer to the St. Mark’s area. In the afternoon, we include a panoramic tour of Venice. Optionally, we suggest completing your visit with a gondola ride. Accommodation in the Mestre area.
Breakfast at the hotel. Following the Venice lagoon, we arrive in Ravenna, where we can visit the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia and the Basilica of San Vitale. We then cross the Apennines to Assisi. With a Franciscan friar or a local guide, we visit the Basilica of Saint Francis. Then, we continue to Rome, arriving late in the evening. Accommodation in Rome.
Breakfast at the hotel. We include a panoramic tour of the capital of Italy, one of the most ancient and influential cities in Western civilization. The Colosseum, Roman forums, central squares and fountains, and the vibrant city life. We finish at St. Peter’s in the Vatican, an independent state within Rome and the center of the Catholic Church. You may visit the basilica and museums.
In the evening, we include a transfer to Trastevere, a lively district known for its small traditional restaurants. Accommodation in Rome.
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to continue exploring the historic and fascinating Italian capital. Today, we suggest an optional excursion to Naples, Capri, and Pompeii. Accommodation in Rome.
At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport for your return flight home, marking the end of our services.
