Day 1
Welcome to Europamundo. Arrive and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon you will receive information for the start of your circuit through the information posters located at the hotel reception.
IMPORTANT:-Remember that hotel check-in is usually at 2:00 p.m. If you require more hours of room availability, consider booking an additional night at the beginning of your circuit.
-IF YOU REQUESTED ADDITIONAL NIGHTS upon arrival at the hotel your reservation will be made but your trip guide will normally not be found until the start of the included activities. At reception you can also find an information sign indicating the telephone number and hours of assistance of our staff. YOUR TIME THEREFORE BEFORE THIS MOMENT IS FREE. At your hotel they can help you with all the information you need.
-OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES: During your trip, your guide will likely offer you optional activities. If these activities are available in the Europamundo application or in your «My Trip» link, we strongly recommend that, if you are interested, to guarantee their availability, you book them as far in advance as possible. On many occasions, waiting until the last minute means losing the opportunity to do them (lack of tickets, lack of bus seats, etc.).
Note: The schedules that you will find in this itinerary are indicative. The guide, depending on the situation and in order to improve the development of the circuit, may adjust the schedules.
Day 2: Paris
- 07.45 hrs- We include a morning transfer to the Palace of Versailles (entrance not included) where you have 2 and a half hours of free time, depending on arrival time, variable depending on traffic, during which you can walk through its beautiful gardens or visit its interior if you wish.
- 11.30 hrs- Return to Paris (the time may vary depending on the time of arrival in Versailles) where we will offer a transfer to the bohemian neighborhood of Montmartre to take a walk and enjoy this neighborhood of small restaurants and outdoor artists.
- 15.00hrs- After lunch we will begin the panoramic tour of Paris with a local guide lasting 2 and a half hours. During the visit you will be able to see the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysées, Madelaine, Place de la Concorde, Opera, Louvre Museum, St. Jacques Tower, Town Hall, Ile de la Cite with Notre Dame Cathedral, Latin Quarter, Pantheon, Sorbonne , Luxembourg Gardens, Invalides, Military School, Champ de Mars- Eiffel Tower, banks of the Seine. We make brief stops near the Invalides and the Champ de Mars.
At the end of the panoramic tour, I return to the hotel, making a stop in the city center so that people who still want to take advantage of their free time in Paris can get off the bus.
To end this very complete day, optionally, the guide will suggest you attend a cabaret or variety show at night such as the Molino Rojo or the Paradis Latin.
Note: The Palace of Versailles is closed on Mondays, so if your transfer coincides with Monday, it will not take place. However, if your stay in Paris extends until Wednesday, transfer to Versailles will be provided on Tuesday.
Note: Given the tourist complexity of Paris, the order of the services offered in the city may vary.
Day 3: Paris
Free day in Paris. If you wish, you can do an optional activity: visit the Latin Quarter and walk on the Seine River. We suggest you visit the Louvre museum.
Note: For passengers who could not go to the Palace of Versailles on Monday due to the closure of the Palace, this transfer will take place on Tuesday morning.
Day 4: Paris- Geneva- Aosta.
Total distance traveled: 670 km. Landscapes: Great plains of central France in the morning. In the afternoon mountain landscapes with high alpine peaks covered in snow all year round.
Notes: Remember to bring warm clothing for passing through Chamonix where snowy landscapes are common from November to April. Carry your camera handy. Also carry your passport with you as it may sometimes be required when entering Switzerland. The schedules in winter may be modified to be able to appreciate the snowy landscapes with sunlight.
- 07:30 hrs Paris: Departure – Long stage through the center of France traveling towards Switzerland.
- 14:30 hrs Geneva: We are in this active city on the shore of Lake Geneva, capital of French-speaking Switzerland. Time for lunch and a walk around the center.
- 17:30 hrs Geneva: departure Increasingly beautiful landscapes as we enter the Alps mountain range. We cross the region of Chamonix, an alpine city next to Mont Blanc (the highest peak in the Alps and Europe). We will admire the snowy landscapes of the mountains that surround it. We pass to Italy through the tunnel under Mont Blanc. We will see glaciers.
- 20:00 hrs Aosta (region)-Arrival – Accommodation.
NOTE: The Aosta Valley has little hotel capacity, accommodation will be provided – depending on coaches – in Aosta, St. Cristophe or Ivrea (nearby cities).
Day 5: Aosta- Venice
Total distance traveled: 465 km. Landscapes: Plains of Northern Italy.
- 07:30 hrs. Aosta -Departure. Travel through the Poo plain, stopping on the outskirts of Milan.
- 1:15 p.m. Venice.– We arrive at the Tronchetto terminal to take a private boat that takes us to the historic center of Venice, we sail through the Giudecca canal seeing the wonderful location of Venice. Once there and after lunch, we visited the city of Venice with a local guide; We walk around St. Mark’s Square: Basilica, Campanile… We will also visit a popular Murano glass factory, where we can admire the technique of glass work. Free time later. Our guide will suggest you take a gondola ride.
- 20:00 hrs. Transfer to the hotel, located in the metropolitan area of Venice (Mestre, Marghera…) or its surroundings.
Day 6: Venice- Ravenna- Assisi- Rome
Total distance traveled: 540 km. Landscapes: Beautiful landscapes crossing the Apennines. Medieval towns on the route through Tuscany and Umbria.
Note: In the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi, it is requested to dress with decorum; plan it before this stage.
- 07:30 hrs. Venice -Departure. We follow the Venetian lagoon to Ravenna.
- 10:00 hrs. Ravenna. -Arrival. Our guide will guide you about the main basilicas of the city. Free visit.
- 11:30 hrs. Ravenna – Departure. We cross the Apennines.
- 2:00 p.m. Assisi – Arrival. Free time for lunch and visit the city of San Francisco, with its basilicas and medieval streets.
- 17:30 hrs. Assisi – Departure.
- 20:30 hrs. Rome -Arrival.
Day 7: Rome
Stage summary: Rome, visit of the city. Night transfer
- 08.30hrs- In the morning we include a panoramic tour with a local guide of approximately two and a half hours of the capital of Italy, one of the oldest and most influential cities in Western civilization. Our visit, by coach, adapts to the rigid control system of tourist buses that circulate in Rome established by the city council of this city. In the panoramic view you will see ancient Rome called Imperial Rome; Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Marcellus Theater, Capitol Hill, Roman Forums, Circus Maximus, Church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin with the mouth of truth, Republican Temples, Baths of Caracalla, Aurelian Wall, Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and San Juan of Lateran, Church of Santa María in Dominica (Navicella), Cestia Pyramid, Gate of San Paolo, Lungo Tevere avenue with the Babylonian-style Jewish Synagogue, Tiber Island, passage in front of the Castle of Saint Angel. This tour ends in the square of Saint Peter of the Vatican. For the most interested travelers, after the panoramic tour our guide will offer you an optional visit where you can learn more about St. Peter’s Basilica and the most notable rooms of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. On some occasions, depending on the season and flow of visitors, this optional visit to the Vatican could take place before the included panoramic tour.
- Free afternoon. Optionally, our guide will offer you a tour of squares and fountains.
- 6:30 p.m. – In the evening we include a transfer to the popular Trastévere neighborhood, with its small restaurants and atmosphere. 8:30 p.m.- Return to the hotel.
Day 8: Rome
Free day in Rome – Today you have a free day in the city of Rome. Our guide will propose to interested passengers an optional excursion to Naples and Capri.
Day 9
After the breakfast, our services end.
Note: Remember that hotel check-out is usually at 10:00 a.m. In most cases you can leave your luggage at the hotel reception at check-out time so you can enjoy the city and pick it up at the time you require on the same day. If you require more hours of room availability, consider booking an additional night at the end of your circuit.
